New owner questions/////////

Post by burrpenick »

Havent actually received the car, its in transport, an ENVY GREEN base model. I am excited as usual about a new ride, but really have reservations about that color. The price was right, so....... I am thinking of painting the bumpers and wheel openings silver, what do you think? Any "have to" mods that I should be aware of with the AT base model? I am a big Mopar fan, owning a real hot Barracuda, but thats just for fun, this Vibe will be my #1. Will probably miss the Ranger, but the MPG will more than make up for that. I am a big fan of the Envy color. I have only seen one in that color and it was a monotone. I wish I could have gotten a better look at it but it was on the other side of the highway going the oposite direction. I was really neat looking.

quote:Any "have to" mods that I should be aware of with the AT base modelWelcome to GenVibe! What is your budget? If you want to invest the money you saved on your purchase, get a factory supercharger or wait for a turbo kit to be developed. Otherwise a low cost worthwhile mod is a Cold Air Intake (CAI), or Ram Air Intake (RAI). There is a Ram Air Hood available. If you have a really low budget you could make your own CAI or RAI.There is a wealth of info on those topics. Get comfortable, search on those keywords above using the search link on the top right hand side of this page and decide what is right for you. If you have any questions about a particular project, reply in that post and someone will help out.Enjoy your "Envy". It will be a rare animal out there. The few I have seen look cool. Edmunds.com or one of the other car sites said that Envy was discontinued as of July, 2002. Is this a newly manufactured Vibe, or one that has been sitting on another dealer's lot somewhere? - Earl
