Terrible AM Reception with FM Modulator for XM

Post by DrDaveDC19 »

Hi everyone, newbie here:I just installed the Delphi FM Modulator for the XM. Had no problem with that, everything works great, but the AM reception tanked on me when I installed it. I live just a couple miles from my favorite stations and I can't hardly get a thing! Any suggestions or is this something I am just gonna have to live with? Thanks!

are you turning off the xm receiver before trying to listen to the radio?
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Hmmm, not sure then. I guess I can only suggest that you double check your wiring. I used the delphi fm modulator with my dad's skyfi 2, and he has no AM reception issues...Perhaps your modulator is defective?
