zipper scratches!

Post by jkm311 »

Come to find out that a jacket I have been wearing, unzipped, has scratched my brand-new Vibe's driver door by my thigh. Any tricks on buffing these out? I thought I remember someone posting a while back that a certain finishing wax works on the dash and doors. Any help is appreciated...Needless to say, I have to consciously tell myself to zip up before getting in now!

My advice... get a hoodie I've never buffed anything myself (and I've also been told that you can damage your paint if you don't know what you're doing ) but I do know that it can deffinately work wonders on small scratches if done properly.Good luck with the fix!

I'll give the crayon a try on a small spot. Fortunately, the scratches are under the molded armrest on the inside of the door, so sun/UV won't interfere if I go with the crayon idea. Thanks!
