Well, the main basis for this survey is in the realm of trucking as it comes from the trucking magazine Overdrive. So I guess what sucks to us 4-wheelers may differ from what sucks to the guys in the big rigs. Personally, I wouldn't want to drive a truck up there, that's for sure. Update on that mistake for CA posted above: I was about to blame AOL but sure enough on Overdrive's site it's wrong there too, straight from the horse's mouth. That's an interesting article to read, if anyone has a few minutes. Intriguing to hear the trucker's comments on what problems they see.

What? We didn't make any of those "worst" lists? With our potholes the sizes of moon craters and centur-genarian drivers???!!!Grandma/Grandpa driving the wrong way down a one way street...there's nothing scarier than being in YOUR lane, and you see a senior coming toward you HEAD-ON in your lane! I guess they didn't bother to come here to do the survey.

And since when does TN get #5 for best drivers? Pffft. Dude. They obviously haven't been on I-81. Oh wait, they surveyed truckers, and it's the truckers on 81 that create the problem.

Well, they have fixed most of I-40 in Arkansas. But, Hiway 67 from Poplar Bluff, Mo. to Newport, Ar. is the worst major road that I have been on in a long time. Also, the interstates in Mo. are getting pretty sorry, just try taking I-70 from St. Louis to Kansas City sometime.

Although, through some of the small towns, the roads are bad. There was an article in the paper here about truck drivers saying the Turnpike is rough and bad. I'd like to know where. I've been on it from Philly to Carlisle, and it was smooth.

I'll agree with MI though haha.not ALL roads here are bad. we are the road construction capital of the US. with studded tires being used from Oct - April, it wears and ruts our roads pretty badly. they have to repave and repair them almost every other year. most of the major roads have now been completely repaved and it's the side streets that are bad. at least for Anchorage. now.... the Valley road are aweful! and if you were to throw in the streets and roads of North America, i would say that you Montrealers are riding some very very rough roads!
