Joseph Barbera passes away

Post by ColonelPanic »

http://www.latimes.com/enterta...promoThe other half of the duo that produced many cartoons that I adored as a kid has passed on...I loved so many Hanna-Barbera shows in my early years! The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Scooby Doo, The Smurfs (and stick a snorkel on a smurf's noggin, and dump them underwater to get the Snorks ) etc... Back in the day, they sure had a monopoly on that whole TV cartoon thing. Sounds like he had a good run at it though... 95 years old, and was working all the way up until the point he could no longer work. I heard on an interview with the BBC this morning that he struggled with speaking there towards the end, but he still kept drawing.
