quote:Can some one explain to me how coilovers work?I had Eibach springs before with KYB shocks on my 91 Nissan Sentra(May she rest in Pieces ) Awesome Ride and conering with the Sportlines set up.I am interested in these
http://www.adventon.com/acb/showdetl.cf ... 7&CATID=84 What is the difference and or what will be the advantages of the coilover set up.?Thanks,MarcosI've heard good and bad things about skunk 2's. Generally, the spring is shorter and without the progressive spring rate most springs use now a days. They also require minor modifications to the shocks/struts in order to make em' fit as they use their own spring perch. The Skunk 2's and Ground Control set up is essentially the same, alumunum thread post, and adjustable spring perch. The differences in the 2 are the way they adjust. The skunk 2 version uses a dual plate spring persch and is adjusted with a lever. Move the 2 down (counter clockwise) and lower. Move the 2 up and raise. The only locking mechanism is the 2 adjusters tightened together. They are fairly simple really. The GC's work the same way except theis is a single perch that locks via an alan wrench. Did this make any sense? Haven't had enough coffee yet.....
