Top Sellers in Canada

Post by Frosty »

No Vibe Yet.... They would have to build a whole whack or two more. From http://www.canadiandriver.com/news/030211-1.htm Passenger cars 1. Honda Civic sedan/coupe 2. Chevrolet Cavalier sedan/coupe/hatchback 3. Mazda Protege sedan/Protege5 hatchback 4. Pontiac Sunfire sedan/coupe 5. Toyota Corolla sedan 6. Ford Focus sedan/hatchback 7. Honda Accord sedan 8. Toyota Camry sedan 9. Hyundai Accent sedan/hatchback 10. Volkswagen Jetta sedan Light truck 1. Dodge Caravan/Grand Caravan minivans 2. Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra pickups 3. Ford F-Series pickups 4. Chevrolet Venture/Pontiac Montana/Oldsmobile Silhouette minivans 5. Ford Windstar minivan 6. Dodge Ram pickups 7. Ford Explorer SUV 8. Honda CR-V SUV 9. Dodge Dakota pickups 10. Ford Escape SUV Note that if the Sunbird and Cavalier #'s were combined, they would beat out the Civic. Why they combine the GMC/Chevy trucks and not the J cars is beyond me.

Why is the CRV considered a "light truck"? Don't they know that its basically a "raised civic"?

The Vibe will NEVER crack the top seller list, as long as GM Canada insists on starving the market.

quote:Why are they doing that? Does not make any sense.I agree. When my DSM was looking for an AWD to drive, we were only able to find one. She went to the dealership on the day it was supposed to arrive, waited 2 hours, but it hadn't arrived yet. We've been trying to get ahold of another AWD for about 2 weeks now ... no luck. Most dealerships here have 1 or 2 Vibes in stock, usually bases w/auto. Not anywhere close to the numbers you Yanks were talking about (30 at one dealer!).
