Somebody better be thankful that they or their kids are still alive.I got up this morning to go to the grocery store and noticed that my car looked really dirty. This is weird because I just washed it a couple of days ago. I thought it was frost for a second, then I realized that it was 60 degrees outside.I walk up to the hood and rub my finger lightly over the paint and it doesn't come off. I rub a little harder and it flakes off. Some kid(s) had gotten ahold of the fire extinguisher in the hallway of my building and it ended up getting sprayed all over the front of my car. Bumper to the windshield was covered in powder.I don't think it was intentionally done to my car for any particular reason. Probably just a couple of stupid kids messing around and my car was in the wrong place. But it still pisses me off. I went to the local car wash and it appears to have come off with no paint damage that I could see. Which is good because if it hadn't there was going to be some imminent violence.
Good grief! I'm glad it came off. People who have no respect for others' property really make me angry, especially kids who have never been taught to respect others' property. Those same people who vandalize would probably be ready to kill the person who vandalized their stuff.
I am revisiting the idea of paying the extra $40 a month to have a garage. I am still a little hesitant to trust people around here like I used to in Iowa City.
$40 bucks ain't bad! It was $60 at the apartment where I used to live. So worth it, keeps the weather and the idiots far away from the baby. I wish I had that option now, but it doesn't matter, won't be around much longer anyway.

Aww Brad that SUCKS! Damn kids! I would definitely spend the extra $$ for a garage if you can swing it. Omaha is a little different than Iowa City! I'm glad it all came clean with no damage to the car.

And what's even more unbelievable is that they're only charging the 10-year-old with burglary...surely there's some kind of a "better sounding" charge that comes with ransacking a house and breaking and entering to do it.
