This morning I took my Vibe in to the Dealer to fix the ever so common Dash Rattle, and a creaking floor board. I just got a call from the Dealer, and he said the Dash rattle is fixed under warrantee, but if it happens again it wont be covered, because I have an aftermarket Head Unit.He wasn't able to reproduce the creaking floor board issues yet. I told him to try again.Has anyone else had there "dash rattle warrantee" voided due to Aftermarket Stereo equipment?

well when they see you have been in the dash already installing a head unit. the odds that there is something wrong with the car that it did to itself that would be covered under warranty is a 50/50 chance.Thats like having an auto start and security system installed on your Vibe and having electrical issues... until they find the cause... you will be paying for the repair in the event its from a bad wiring job.Nothing wrong going on here. I'd say they were in their right to inform you of such and I would do the same.

I guess your right, but the dash rattled before I had the Stereo installed As long as it's fixed now, then it's all good. The floor creaking is really starting to bug me, I hope they are able to fix that too.

Yes but thats also your word they would need to take in good faith with what they see in front of them. I've had people come in with a lot of mods on their car and say that tranny problem was there before all that engine stuff was installed. were is your floor creaking? thats just weird. never had a floor creak in a car I've owned or driven before.

It's creaking around the Drivers Left foot. It normally happens when going over things at an angle. Like making a right turn in to a parking lot that's higher than the street. Or going over speedbumps. It started happening around the 9,000 mile mark, and now it has 10,000 miles, and I think it's getting worse. It's never been in an accident (or even rim curb rash), so I'm not sure what to think.

What did they do to fix the dash rattle? I wonder if it's the same one I have. I have a noise that seems to be coming from the passenger side around the airbag or vents or up by the windshield.... somewhere up there anyway. It's kind of a click/clunk noise that happens when I'm going over bumps.

If your car is out of warrentee please read this, http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=9977If you still have a warrantee, take it in to the dealer, and have them deal with it. They know dash rattles are common on these cars, and know where the ususal suspects are.

I just got the car back, and drove it back to work. And I'm not happy. The Dash still rattles, the floor still creaks, and the Mint they gave me with the recipit takes like crap.Aside from the vents being moved around, I'm not so positive they took my dash appart. One thing that I am happy about is I don't own the 00 Pontiac Monatana they use as a shuttle (72,000 miles). That thing's interior made WAY more noise than my car. Now my options are to take it to another dealer (if my vin hasn't been flaged) or fix the dash my self. I took the dash on my 96 Grand Am appart enough times, to know I can do it, but still a pain in the (removed). What about the floor board? This is crap. *is frusttrated*
