Went and got 'da wife a '04 Saturn Vue last Friday. Nothing fancy, only a/c and a cd player. Had the car a week now and starting to find things wrong with it and just not liking it any more. The main problem is that the left front spring squeeks really bad now. Found out the rear wiper doesn't work. We both don't much care for the VVT transmission. And my wife is changinfg her mind on not needing any power thingies. Is it too late to take it back for another one that I actually wanted. It's a '03 with only 7k miles more, $1k less, power everything including a sunroof, a normal tranny, and it's dark blue.Just wondering what my options are.

i though normally you get about 10-15 days or so to take it back???tell them you very unhappy with it and see what you can work out.Ive been seeing them lately and kinda liked the body a lil... but would never get one.Get her a vibe too! Good luck man.

Despite what most people think...most states DO NOT have a period in which you may change your mind...Arizona certainly doesn't provide a buffer window (despite what I have heard)...Typically, the dealers tend to be willing to work with customers, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it was gonna cost you, because believe me it will...most likely you could get the one you want, but not for $1000 less. You may be lucky to get a straight trade across...

Some Dealers offer a 30 day buy-back if youre not happy... try that.if that fails, try to cut a deal for another but if your wife wants more power options you will pay the difference obviously.if thats no good for you then and you want your money back... you may be sol. it cost money to take it off the lot... to prep it for delivery and dont think that dealer will just absorb those costs... thats not what they do.and in the end... whats to say the other one you want is not a lemon too... drive the next one further and harder.

We bought an '06 Vue with the Honda V6 and tranny and love it. That sucker is fast. Anyhow, according to the folks at Saturnalia, '03 was the last year of the VVT tranny. If your '04 Vue is a V6, then it has the Honda engine and tranny. In Texas, if you buy it, you own it - no "cooling off" or "changing your mind" period.
Oops! Quote »Just wondering what my options are.Either just dealing with it or taking a big hit if you're absolutely unsatisfied with the vehicle, more than likely.Did you buy it at a Saturn dealer? Or elsewhere? Everybody always talks about that return it if you don't like it if the car is new, but I don't know if that applies used. At any rate, I wouldn't count on the return option.I'd say just be prepared to make yourselves like it. Just tell the wife less crap on it to break. That's pretty much the truth. Get the wiper fixed and the suspension noise looked at and you'll be good.

30 day only applies to new cars. they still dock you for mileage and wear and tear, charge you a "rental" fee if you will. i would go in and talk to them and see what they say. they may be willing to work something out. otherwise, you're SOL i guess.
My son in Minneapolis had a new Vue and there was a transmisison problem within 2 weeks - he told them he didn't want it fixed, he wanted a new one per their guarantee. He got it - no fees or other charges.
