My anniversary with my blue buddy is this Monday the 16th of October.I expect my companion to have just under 19,000 miles. Pretty darn good for 2 entire years! As I was coming in to write this I noticed rebbierae is also celebrating a two-year ordeal. Congratulations again rebbierae!I still remember how I was paired with this awesome vehicle. I had just gotten off work and come home on my bicycle (I was the ripe age of 17 at the time). My mother tells me not to get comfortable because we were leaving. Couldn't I at least change out of my work clothes? She wouldn't tell me where we were going, but I trusted her. Soon arriving at the Pontiac dealership, I noticed my grandparents sitting with a salesman at a table in the lobby. Upon entering, I obliviously passed by my soon-to-be Vibe. I still feel that same excitement when thinking about it as when they told me that it would be mine! I drove it home (alone) on my permit (illegally but hey, i wasn't such a bad driver...).Now every time I see another Vibe going down the street, I feel a pride unlike any other. I learned to drive in a 1999 Grand Prix GT. Pontiac has been in my blood since I started driving, and will be all my life.PONTIAC - - - DRIVING EXCITEMENT
Congrats on another 2 year happy anniversary! What a story! Lucky!I know-I still feel the same way, but it's only been a little over two months for me. But I still feel the same excitement like "THIS IS MINE!"
Congratulations on the anniversary, and on still loving the car so much after 2 years! There has to be something done right with the design of this thing if people love a non-performance oriented, non-SUV, non-"active" vehicle this much, so as you said, (perhaps) Pontiac does equal driving excitement.
What a great story! Very nice grandparents! My parents got me my first car, a new 1987 Cavalier RS. I drove that car for 11 years and washed and waxed it on a regular basis! I even won two trophies at shows with it. After all, it would have been an insult to NOT take care of it since my parents bought it for me. My dad finally gave me the title and basically said I could do what I wanted with the car. I traded it in on a 1998 Cavalier Z24.

I not quite sure why, but sadly, I'm not surprised. There was a time in my life when I was about 12 or 13 when she stopped talking to us for 3 years. She even hung up on my phone calls and slammed the door in our faces when we tried to visit.I'm fortunate to have them, but unfortunate for them to behave like they are.-New Subject-The terms of the purchase:$3k down payment, balance to be paid: $10,945I make monthly payments (while in college) at $189.10 /monthParents pay auto insurance.I am however making the best use of it that I can, I even sleep in it occasionally (seats folded flat )

well congrats on your 2 yr! odd they are acting that way, but some people are just like that. my cousins get that way too... then one day they are fine and act like nothing ever happened!i believe we are coming up on Mav's 3rd anniv for the vibe this Dec. My vibe gt's 2nd anniv resulted in trading her in for my 05 LGT that i currently have. oh well.... we still have the one vibe!
I just now saw this thread--Happy Anniversary azsapphire!! Hope you two had a great day! Sadly, Stella got ignored on our actual anniversary--we had a nice road trip up to St. Paul on Friday, and then we took my sister's Vibe to Duluth on Saturday (the actual 2 year anniversary), so my car sat in her driveway all day. Two years and I still love my car!!
congrats on being past the 2 yr mark... i can't wait for my 1st anniv! anywho- just thought i'd share tat my first, very first, car was a 1977 Ford LTD... tan with a brown vinyl hard top, hood ornament, spring loaded bench seats and an aftermarket FM tuner! we could comfortably (not leagally) fit 8 people and had been known to cram in 12 people to skip HS lunches!loved that car to pieces... was hard to sell it after i went to college and needed a more reliable car (civic).ya know, i never had a chance to "break in" that old car... although i'm still convinced to this day that those seats would have provided sufficient entertainment with the boyfriend!
2007 sun & sound, preferred pack, 5-speed, mono Abyss with metallic blue pins... oooh aaaah
