Nokia 6101 CA-42 cable: Connect phone to PC

I got a CA-42 data cable USB to connect to my PC. I want to download the pics from the phone to PC.I got the CA-42 from ebay and came with instructions and disc. The instruction said to 1. Load the cable driver first. 2. Load the Nokia PC suite second.It does not work. PC suite could not sync with the phone. It's probably the driver. For whatever reason, I'm not able to select the driver from from WindowXP because "it's not digital"? It's listed there. Just that the NEXT button is gray out.So I went to noika.com and download the PC suite with driver. It's a newer version. It did not work. I download the cable driver only, and installed the PC suite from the disc, and it does not work.What should I do next. Please help.TIAThe main thing is I want to download the the pics on my phone and don't want to email them because they charge us by each email.

just to make sure, you opened Nokia PC Suite...then selecte "Nokia Connection Manager" from the list of icons (it'll be the one at the bottom row, far right).From there, ensure that USB (DKU-2, CA-53, DKE-2) is checked. Maybe even uncheck the others.

I'm guessing you have Verizon service (like I do). I also have a Nokia with the data cable. I'm able to sync my phone book in Outlook and that is about it. Verizon is notorious for disabling some of the phone features so you have to use their "Get it Now" service (for a cost) of course. I believe there is a program out there called "Diego" that allows you to bypass Verizon's program on the cell phone. I've never tried it but I've heard it works. That is the only thing I don't like about Verizon Service, everything else works great for meIf you don't have a Verizon, I don't know what is happening.Good luck though,Mike
