Roof rack caps - Aerogear from Street Graffiti decent quality?

Post by CanadianTim »

Hi,I like the look of the Aerogear roof rack caps from Street Graffiti and am considering for my 2005.How good is the fit? Any gaps, etc? Any modifying to get them to fit decently? How about the finish - did it take much bodyshop prep to make these look good? Are they stictly held on with the bolts - no tape or velcro? How is Street Graffiti to deal with? Thanks!

they just mount with the existing bolt holes although the stock bolts didnt work on the back for me and I got some hex bolts from Home Depot but should have had them powder coated or something to prevent rusting.. they also don't sit flush with the back hatch like in some of the prototype pictures but other than that I love them way more compared to the roof rack

Thanks for the welcome can-awd-vibe. You live near... I have searched and read everything though much of it is a couple years old so I was wondering about current quality. Thanks meistees. Admired yours previously as the colour and spoiler are the same as mine so gave me a good idea how it would look.I like the look of the carbon fibre covers but don't want the tape as I want to be able to put the rack on if I need it. Also concerned what the carbon fibre would look like after years of weather exposure...Meistees, could you have used the stock black rubber "gasket" moulding piece that mounted under the stock rack with your fiberglass covers?

Looks good, Meistees! Anyone know which fit better, these or RKSport ones? Roof caps are on my mods-to-do list.
