Almost a speeding ticket

Post by mathteacher'04vibe »

So I was cruising on the freeway in the Vibe and trying to take it easy. Well, my sister pulled up beside me and I wanted to show of my newly installed exhaust and S/R intake. I tromped on the pedal and immediately reached a speed of 65mph (hit passing gear and the cam was on). My sister floored her Toyota minivan and we were both speeding. (65+ in a 55) Up ahead, a full-grown smoky bear8^{. Luckily, we braked soon enough to avoid a wreckless-op ticket for drag racing8^}.

When it's a matter of my leadfoot vs my run-ins with the law, my foot bows to the law. I was in bad trouble with the law a few years back, so I do my best to avoid getting busted. I am so paranoid, I do an inspection of my lights before I drive (if any are out, I will change them before driving). I keep spares on hand.To answer the question, I had the van on the jump, but once I saw "the light bar" I was on the brakes quicker than stink on...

You lucked out this time! Just don't unknowingly race a cop like I did.
