Seat belt stuck / locked?

I got back into the car today and a friend's kid was yanking on the rear seat belt. I don't know what he did, but now the seat belt will not retract nor extend. It is not fully extended, probably a good 12" from fully extended.Any ideas?

it probably got locked up and wont come loose if you car is still under warrenty go ahead and take it in to the dealership or if you like hands on go ahead and take off the pannels and see whats up but yeah its more then likely locked up

I remember when that happens to me, to just open the door, and apparently the seat beat mechanism resets itself. I don't know if that applies to the rear seats, though.
