New shoes....(this one's for you Damron)

Post by Merzbow »

Soooo I received a package from Fedex today, actually 4 packages Had to sit through class and all I could think about were the packages. Got home and bought some rubber then had them installed...Shes a little higher off hte ground now though that's the only thing. I'm gonna say that's ina way good, I haven't scraped my mudflaps yet, whereas before I would scrape even around curves.18" ADR Cyphers wrapped in General Exclaim UHP tires. I've allways wanted these rims but they were discontinued. I actually came across a brand new set on ebay for a great price. I waited til the last 30 seconds of the auction at 3:30am and bid and ended up winning to my surprise because there were like 10 others watching it.ANYWAYS, I can't beleive I finally got wheels after all these years lol. Since Damron is allways raggin on me for hanging onto the stock 16s I figured I would dedicate this thread to him Are you satisfied yet???I appologize for the quality of the pictures, one was taken on my cellphone, the other three were from my old camera (flash doesnt seem to work for some reason) new camera is broken already so you're all gonna have to wait until tomorow to get good pictures.

Thanks! The wheels believe it or not were only $357 I gues . I didn't think the seller was going to give them too me so cheap but I gues he wanted them out of his shop so that works for me. The tires on the other hand were $614.

Nice, Paul! I knew that's what it was when you told me you had gotten something and were dedicating the thread to me! Those are some sharp looking wheels you got there bro! One thing I don't understand is you said it raised your car. If the wheel/tire combo was correct it should be the same. Might want to look into that or your speedo/odo might become off after time and miles go by.

Yeah, it's not much of a chang ein hieght but I can feel it...I like it better, I can now back into my driveway without scraping so I think I'm gonna leave it like this. I remember a while ago someone posted a formula or something about how much of an impact certain sized wheels with certain tires will affect the speedo and stuff and 18's were liek .56mph or something insignifficant like that.

(removed)...thanks...don't even mention tint to me right now HAHAHAHA there's just no pleasing you. I was joking earlier because with the stock wheels and that huge system in the back the rear end was way lower than the front so I was saying that I need to even out the car and weigh the front down somehow...i figured a supercharger should do the trick...didn't go over too well though (removed).

no? that's too bad. cause i think a turbo and front mount intercooler would help out with the weight distribution issue.

18"x7.5 are the wheelsI believe the tires are 225/40/18 could be wrong though.coils are Tein S-Techs (2.3-2.5 inch drop somewhere in that neighborhood).

What the hell did you do that for? Damn boy, giving in to peer pressure! Young man, if all the genvibers that brainwashed you into thinking you needed new wheels jumped off a bridge, would you do it? Looks good though.

Very nice Paul! We're going to have to get a Mini-Michigan/Ohio meet going before the end of the year so I can see these in person.

Dude, They look tight. I see you went with the Generals. You'll have to tell us how they handle. Of course anything is better than what you had.
