License Plate Cover?

I am looking for a plastic or similar composition license plate cover, to cover my plate on the front. I live in IL and we only get new plates once in a blue moon, or if we change plates. Mine are personalized, so I don't want them to get too messed up because the way IL is, I won't get another set for like 10+ years. I have found holders, but no covers and the one I had for my 01 Blazer won't work with the Vibe, so that has me a little scared of just buying one.So does anyone who has one let me know what brand it is and where you got it. I have almost bought a couple, but don't want to open it and get stuck with it if it doesn't work with the Vibe.Thanks!

I think I bought mine at Target. Dark smoke. About $6 if I remember right.

Ditto - mine was a frame plus a tough clear plastic cover.It's been beat to death with the road debris... already cracked. But the plate still looks new, yay.Another 6 bucks after 30k miles - not a bad price.

If you have an AutoZone nearby, they carry a kit that includes a black frame, silver frame and clear plastic cover for around $10.00. I saw it on the shelf when I bought my plate frame last month.

I've found those all over... AutoZone sells one I prefer that is almost completely flat, save for a tiny bit on the edges that looks really great with our flat plates, most of the protectors I've found are too thick since they're designed for the thicker plates. I've seen those in clear, blue, smoke, red, green, yellow, and purple. I've got the clear one now.I have found the larger (thicker) covers at AutoZone as well, plus Advance Auto, Meijer, Wal*Mart, etc... You *should* be able to find something around somewhere...I'd suggest a frame to go with it, but I don't know if that will work with the front license plate bracket, I didn't have one on mine.

yeah i see them all over the place Advance Auto parts, AutoZone, O'reilys, ect... ive been meaning to get one but i want to take off my plate in the front and put in inside my car on the windshield but im going to do it later lol

You can get them all over the place... as previously listed. Well worth it to get, I have dark smoked covers on and they get beat to death in Ohio and the plate still looks great. Had the covers on mine for over a year now and holding up quite well.
