How do you Feel about the "Stickies"?

Post by zionzr2 »

I'm Looking for feedback on the "stickies"these are the "fixed" position topics that yield a higher importance to the particular forum and are prefixed with STICKY in the brackets. they also get ordered as to the most recent post if there is more than one sticky in a thread.Thanx for your feedback.

I don't see how you can't have stickies.

I think the question is still valid though...what does he plan to do with the feedback? Start a campaign to ban stickies if the votes should turn? LOL

Personally I voted that I don't read them - unless they show up in the active threads. But I don't seek them out in any way shape or form.

I don't see them. Something about stickies, I always look past them to see what the top threads are. I guess I assume the stickies never get updated. I do read them if they show up in active topics though (where I can't tell that they are sticky )

The Sticky tag only shows up if you look in the individual forums. They do not show up with the sticky tag in the active topics section. So, since I only read the active topics unless I create a post of my own, I never know if it is stickied or not. If it was, and it pertained to what I wanted to read then I would read it. I don't seek them out so I voted that I do not read them since I never know if I am or not.

LOLI will say, I have no desire to eliminate the Stickies!! No such campaign will be started by me.I'm trying to get a better feel for how the forum opperates combined with how its used and then I can offer a suggestion or 2 based on some of my thoughts and will share after a few days. It may come to the effect that no change can be made. So I'm basicly getting my thoughts figured out thats all.

I like the idea of stickies, but have a problem with this one only.Tell me who has done this, and the instructions suck big time, lack of pics and interest.I just think they should be cleaned up.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=18927
