I too had a great time. That is a cool pic wish I could have stuck around for it but I had get home and get my son's car up and running. It's almost 10 pm and it's still not running. I'm calling it quits for tonight. I want to thank all the folks that attended this event. It was great getting to know everybody. Just my kind of gathering small, casual, and informative. It was really nice meeting you all. Thanks............Lenny

Thanks Brian--that was a great idea and a fantastic meet! I really did have an awesome time, and it was so cool to meet everyone. Thanks to all who helped with my mods--we turned the a/c WAY down on the way home because it was so chilly! Even Jim said he had a really good time and he was a bit skeptical about the whole trip. Can't wait until Midwest Meet 2007!

Thanks Guys! If it wasn't for you all I would have been sitting there all by myself. Ha, Ha! I lost 3 fingers due to frostbite from the A/C mod . Holy Hannah! The A/C is super cold now. Definitely a mod that everyone should do! The people pics will be coming soon! ..... Or was it all just photoshopped and we really weren't there? Hmmm.... Owatonna weather report for Becky :SundayPartly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers in the morning...then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs 80 to 85. West winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the northwest in the afternoon.

LOL! I will have to do that soon also.

I to want to welcome Something Wild, my cousin Charly to this forum. Really glad you could make it.I went to this event to meet folks, see some cool cars, and possibly learn something.I was charmed by the wonderful people, "wowed" by the cars, and educated. Just a great time.I too had the A/C mod done and driving home it was cooler.I learned about and had my MAF cleaned.I even learned how to quickly disconnect the battery. Then what surprised me most is I went there really looking to find out about more info on either a CAI, SR, or K&N drop-in filter. I decide a drop-in will be best for my needs. Then just before lunch sk8r78 from the MO group, just happens to mention he has drop-in for sale. So I bought that and installed it. Just those three little things and my Vibe feels like new money. Next year I might even have to clean my engine compartment like the others. I really do want to thank everyone that attended and for all the help. And a special thanks to BlueCrush for putting it together.P.S. I think my son's car is either a coil or distributor so that's what my Sunday project will be.

We did seem to notice a bit of a difference, and didn't have to have the a/c on so high, which was great for chatting and listening to the iPod on the way home. We didn't get the chance to honk the horn every 1/4 mile either, or I would have had a LOT of motorcyclists upset with me (not on my list of things to do before I die). Brian--thanks for the weather report--I'm going to check with you each time I go somewhere now!

Well, I am just getting home from MN. The meet was great ! It was nice meeting all of you and its nice to put a face to a name. I don't think we should limit ourselves to 1 meet per year. Kudos to you Brian, for getting this together. I would have liked a bigger turnout from the Matrixowners, but I think those that did show up represented well and I'm looking forward to the next one whenever it is. I'll get my pics up soon, but please nobody hold your breath till I do.

We also had a slow drag race. We picked two points from the edge of a handicap symbol painted on the ground to the Handicap sign (approx. 10 ft.) and the three slowest people won "Bags of Crap"Here are the results (in seconds):1) ZionZR2 = 37.89 (Blue Interior LED's, Amber LED Turn signals for the side mirrors & Clear Vinyl Headlight Protectors)2) Schroeder = 26.11 (Foose Hat & T-Shirt)3) Red Lava = 20.62 (Orange County Choppers Hat & T-Shirt)4) TRDMatrixXR_AWD = 20.425) northvibe = 19.616) Rebbierae's Man = 17.927) Sk8r78 = 16.878) Binary = 15.42(Viberrr & Something Wild had already left)I didn't race since I didn't want to win my own bag of crap! A great time was had by all! I'm glad you all could make it.Thank you for the kind words.

Yeah, my time sucked - I was the first one to try it, and feared burning my clutch I swear Zion was cheating... I think with all the gear he had in the front seat, one was a time shift device. Found out my cooler dumped about 8 pounds of water into my car during the drive from the lot to the jets... after returning home I baled out most of it and ran the dehumidifier in it over night... 'sallgood now.

Jim pointed out how in one picture (I think one that Bill took), that the bear looks like it's, uhm, taking advantage of an antelope or elk or something. Leave it to him to notice stuff like THAT!
