Well, its already here, delivered to our dealer today, but we dont get it till Monday. 2005 Base, 5 speed with power package, cost us $14800 CDN, which was alot better than anything else we could find. Took it for a little rip today and love it!!! Now our question to everyone here, what rpm do you usually let it rev to? Seems like it really starts to pull between 4-5500 rpm, but it it healthy to be letting it go that high on a regular basis? Our old sunfire would explode if we revved it that high!! Other than that is there anything else I should know? Looking forward to your input!!!!!
congrats and welcome!! this site rules for getting help with the vibe, information and friendly people!Yeah i too have a auto, but when i manual shift it i revi it to 6k or 6100k then shift. Thats when im going full out, pedal to the floor. To get good mileage though shift at 3k or a little before. The engine does start to make the power at 4k+ and these imports can rev high
my revlimiter is at about 6200 RPMs... so you cant really go past that.I have a 5 speed and the best is to shift around 3K RPM to get the best milage outta it. Its not healthy to punch it up to the higher RPMs all the time... you could blow the engine.and this is a TOYOTA engine so its built pretty good.I just got a short shifter and its finally broken in.. lemme tell ya. its SOooo much better then the stock shifter. And welcome

It's a dealer trade in, but was really priced at the low point for what they are going for in ontario, in fact, just a little higher than the 03's. I was actually nervous cause of the price, it was coming from out of town and I was buying it sight unseen! But turned out sweet! Gotta say dealer really worked hard to get us what we wanted, we bought an Aztek off him 4 months ago and had it go down on us about 7 times and ended up with about 5grand in warranty work. Pretty much took it back and gave us what we paid, minus the windshield we broke. Lets hope we don't have the reliability issues the aztek gave us!!!!
CP will be surprised to hear that the Aztek is made by Toyota .

My wife had an 02 Aztek GT AWD. In 4 months we've gone through 7 wheel bearings (I think, lost count cause it was warranty work), brakes and a new drive shaft at 2500 dollars. The car only had 53000 kms on it (30000 miles). Alot of other small problems. Heard AWD was a pain in the aztek, the fwd is supposed to be better.....
