Post by jake75 »

Edmunds has pricing for 2007 Vibes. The base price went from $16,430 msrp/15,526 invoice to $16,560 /15,649. Destination went from $560 to $585. Option pricing seemed unchanged. No rebates listed for the 2007 - yet.

Looks like Sun & Sound package goes down by $100 -- but so does the package savings if you also buy Preferred Package (savings was $300; now $200)Also monotone goes up $25 to $350.

Oh no...I just looked at the "current offers" on the PMD website; it says $500 cash allowances. (What happened to the $1,000 cash allowance????!!!!!!) take delivery by 7/18. But it also says "Additional Bonus Cash may apply to G6 Coupe, G6 Sedan, Grand Prix, GTO and Vibe. See your dealer for details."Fingers (and toes) crossed here...

If you need a car and can't wait, or if you drive the car until it is relatively worthless, then buying at model year end is o.k. However, if you plan to keep it only 5 years or so you are much better off buying a car early in the model year rather than at the end. Come 2011-12, a 2006 bought in August 2006 is going to be worth substanatilly less than a 2007 bought in Sept. 2006.
