My Loaner ride.

Post by Lancer »

Car is still in the shop. Should get done sometime this week but I still have to come up with a little more money. So, my good friend is loaning me his brand new '06 Beull Firebolt XB9R. At first I thought it was a little top heavy and clunky in the shifting, but I havent ridden a bike for almost 2 years. I have to say though that after riding it all week and learning the little quirks, it's really a nice ride. It's got a Harley Sportster 984cc fuel injected engine with 93hp and 64ft/lbs of torque. The 3.5 gal. gas tank is actually inside the frame and the oil tank is in the rear swing arm. With the exhuast at the very bottem of the bike, this thing has a very low center of gravity. Making it VERY nimble in the turns and twisty's. I was able to lift the front end off the ground just by twisting the gas up to 3rd gear! The look is very agressive (imo) with the front end and headlights looking like a bug ready to pounce on it's prey. It's very small compaired to my 750 Ninja. When your sitting on the Buell, the high seat and high foot pegs sorta positions you so your looking right over the handle bars. It's not like anything I've ridden before, but I like it. Except for my hands going numb from being in that position with a lot of wieght on them all the time. That would be my only real concern. The other is the small gas tank. But then again it's built more for performance on the track and the twistys. Here's some pics. Sorry they are not of my friends. This site wont let me load mine for some reason?Yes it leans that far! Trust me!

HEY ADMIN, WHY DON'T MY PICS LOAD? The site has been acting wierd the last couple days. Can't load pics, won't log in, keeps saying it's down for maintanence.Anyway, as soon as this site get's un-FUBAR'ed, I'll try again. The new Firebolts I think are going to have the V-Rod engine. That's going to be a FAST bike! 1450cc's is like a geo metro, yaris, and Fit engines! Only on a 450lbs. bike.

Your photo is probably too large for the attachment.Quote, originally posted by Genvibe.com » The file cannot be larger than 4000000 bytesMake sure that's not the case. The site was down for a short time this weekend but should be fully operational now. Edit:I tested posting an image and it worked fine. Double check your file size and give it another try. Maybe host it externally at Photobucket or a similar site.
