HASSENFEFFER-KRANK-FRANKLE-DINGLE-DOOF!!!!!

Post by GMJAP »

Our cars were parked pretty close on opposite sides of the driveway this morning, and being in a hurry, I didn't pull forward first to get more room when backing around my wife's Camry. thought I could make it until ssscriiitch!!!!Few things make you feel as stupid as driving one of your cars into the other in a completely avoidable situation.I scraped edge of the Camry's rear wheel well with the Vibe's rear bumper trim. Damage to the Camry is extremely minimal, just some scuffing on the wheel well edge. The Vibe, however:I cringe just looking at it!

I see a cat chasing a bird. OK, maybe a hell cat with a devil's tail.

Did the same thing to my car and the wifes Maxima (POS). Except I scraped the heck out of my rear pass. fender and bumper while her car's turn signal housing is destroyed and a nice big dent in her fender. My vibe won I guess. Got a new bumper for $50 off of e-bay. If you connect the 2 images it could look like a dragon! It's really not so bad! almost cool!

Yeah, maybe if you can figure a way to incorporate that scratch into some graphics?

BTW, the title to this post isn't a reference to "A Christmas Story" is it? Sure sounds like the Dad cursing while battling the furnace.

You win the prize. Which is: Some Platinum paint chips freshly removed from a Camry wheel well. Must be claimed in person.http://www.starz.com/features/christmasstory/Never thought of it as a sort of Rorschach test. "Now, I'll run this scraper along the side of your car, and you tell me what you see." "Ah, well, that's a rather violent image. How does it make you feel?" "There's no need to gaaaaack......gurgle.......caaaak........."I dunno........ when I look at it I still see a few hundred $ that could have been spent on something much more interesting.....

Opps! Lightly scuff the black and use a bottle of touch up paint. Cheapest fix! I think I see the face of Jesus in the scratch...

Post a pic of it on eBay... someone will see something in that scrape and then you can make some $$$ off your mistake.

Got it fixed this morning - they did a great job, I think, and it only cost me $85. I've used the guy before to fix some damage to our other car's bumper, and he's always done a good job at a decent price. If you're in the North Dallas area, I'd recommend him for paint and light plastic damage:Sean ImaCoor Touch Concepts214-697-2471

Like to find someone around here who does work like that. I have a couple of dings that could use paint. But my "touch-up" skills are lacking.
