Clear 3M bra

Post by Peter »

I'm trying to find a place that installs this product. Now, is there a precut one that dealers use or do they cut them to fit a vehicle ?Are there are bad/good brands of this stuff ? Can I buy one and install it myself ?Anyone know of a good place around Edmonton area ?

DON'T install yourself unless you have experience with this type of product! i have installed a lot of vinyl but nothing prepared me for what i endured last year while installing my 3M kit on my LGT. this time, i had it professionally done (just last week) after the new paint was cured. i'd show you pics, but it's clear! 3M and Scotchguard are the 2 main ones. try and find a dealer first. they will usually warranty and guaranty their work/kits. if you are somewhat near Calgary, try and look up Derdall Designs. find out if they do it or know anyone who does.

I have the 3M one from the dealer and it was cut to fit. You can hardly tell it is there. Here is a pic:

my new clear bra now goes all the way up and a little past the start of my hoodscoop, almost a foot more than the rockblocker kit! :D more coverage and it looks awesome! i have my whole front end done, not just the hood. again, well worth the $$$

That looks really good. How much did that cost from the dealer?

A bit overpriced but worth it for me. I think it was $125 installed.

Are these clear bras worth the $300-500? Alot of people say they are but how much would it cost to just repaint it after a few years or when you sell/trade?
