I dont know if anyone remebers the issue i have with my warning bing for my lights and door ajar......but it almost cost me today........went to get my hair cut..left the headlights on (beacuse i drive all the time with them on)....came out after 45 mins and car was DEAD....not even a click......still has the oem 320 cca battery....so i waited about 15 mins with all the accesiores turned off and finally got it to start........the car is a very early 2003 with 100,000 kms on her...so if it died after 45 mins it is time for new one.......any thoughts for a new one.....i do not have any aftermarket stereo....nor will there ever be.........just need a good strong and long lsating battery.

Hey...Silly suggestion but.... if you leave them on all the time, why not just do what I did and cover up the automatic light sensor lense from the inside the cap then the lights turn on when you drive and turn off when you shut if off, automatically.Get an Optima RedTop... I believe the fitment # is 35R. Works great for me going on 2 years now. Dave
ya, that OEM 330 cca battery is crap! i finally got tired of mine going dead in the winter and since the dealer here wouldn't even consider the TSB, broke down and bought my Red Top. Now, i have that Red Top in my LGT and it's only gone dead once (my fault) after leaving on my modem and router for 12 hrs in the car... (i didn't go to lunch like i usually do that day).
I just got a standard engergizer for my wife's Grand Am when her batt died. Yellow Top Optima in mine.Red Top is probably what you want to get if you want to get a 'performance' battery with more of a guarantee it won't die, otherwise I think you can get what floats your boat.

the new vibes come with a 560 cca. red top is 720 cca i believe, not sure on the yellow top. anything at least 560 will be plenty strong enough, however, having been so happy with my red top, i have to recommend it with
Quote, originally posted by Vibe_dude »What are most ppl getting as far as CCA???.....how high a number is to high...i dont want to damage anything. As far as I know, you can't go too high. The CCA rating simply states how much amperage the battery can handle when cold. So long as it's 12v, and you can make it fit in your engine bay, it'll work. After that it's brand preference and cost.

By the way, if you have the stock radio, there are no codes.

Nope, the flashing LED is just a flashing LED. Just there for show.
