Simple solution for stereo yet?

Hey everybody,I just signed up after I spent some time the last couple of days looking through the your discussions about replacing the stock stereo. Imagine my supprise when I discovered that there was an amp under my passenger seat! Oops. I've installed a lot of car stereos in the past but this one caught me off guard. Has anyone discovered a simple way to bypass the stock amp and hook up my lovely new JVC head unit?Rich

You don't want to bypass the amplifier unless you're also swapping out your speakers.As said (in many other posts) the M&T speakers are 2 Ohm, and your aftermarket radio won't be able to handle those speakers properly without the amplifier in place.
