My 03 Vibe GT does not have a front license plate bracket, so I ordered the bracket online but now have no clue how to install it to the front bumper. I'm assuming this will involve drilling some holes...?
When I moved from PA to WA, I had to do the same thing. I didn't drill any holes...the quality paint job on the front bumper had slight indentations for the holes. I just took the supplied bracket screws, hoped for the best and screwed them in.If you want a picture, I can post one so you can at least get an idea of where the holes should be.

I would suggest either pre-drilling, if you can, or at least putting the screws in first without the bracket in place (I think that's what Cougar Vibe probably did). Pre-drilling a pilot hole will help make sure the hole is exactly where you want it. The screw point itself may move a bit then start to dig in not exactly where you want it (happened to me though it still worked fine). You're just going through a thin bit of plastic anyway, so a pilot hole would take no time.Dave
OK...I found the slight indentations and see how those line up with the holes in my bracket.New problem: The bracket I bought did not come with any screws. Any ideas on where I can get the screws? Are they a close to standard side I can pick up at a hardware store? Thanks for all your help!
The dealer put mine on useing a cordless drill and a flat head screw. Forget about the pre drilling. any screw size ( as long as it's head will hold the bracket will work. That is if you want to install it the GM Profesional way.
