Just thinking, What if...

Post by Lancer »

Was bored all day at work and started thinking about little things I could do to my car. Mostly about what if I removed the butterfly valve in the throttle body? At WOT it still isn't all the way flat so it's a restriction. What would be any bad thing that might happen if I did that? What kind of throttle control would you get without the butterfly valve? or or

isnt the butterfly valve what regulates how much air gets into the engine? so if you took it off it'd be like having your car at WOT permanently? maybe im completely wrong lol im not sure

Not exactly right, the fuel injectors are controlled by the computer also, so without the valve, full throttle air, reduced fuel, extra lean mixture, holes in pistons.

Hehehe! So that would be a big Yeah, it was pretty hot & humid yesterday and I was in the paint booth all day wearing my plastic suit, knit head sock, half mask, and rubber gloves. After thinking about it more and realizing that you just don't see anything like that anywhere.Sorry to post a brain fart! (can I write fart here?)
