MimoUSA Electric Supercharger Cheap way to boost a CAI/Short ram?

Post by Legros »

Hello, searched but didnt see any good or bad comments about this..? Seems a bit weird but i guess the idea is not complety bad. any chance that this would work on a 03 GT?http://www.autoaccessorystore....d=952http://www.mimousa.com/info/blowerinfo.aspThe proposed hp gain vs $$ seems a good (to good to be true?) ratio...?

this link to a nsx forum.... Let's say that they are very sceptical http://www.nsxprime.com/forums...53877Must admit that if i had a nsx i would probably not add a cheap 300$ upgrade to this beauty

honestly, those are all over ebay aswell for cheaper. imo waste of money. if you really want something like that get a leaf blower and hook that up to your intake, at least a leaf blower has been proven to work (there was a vid and dyno of a honda doing it).

As a matter of fact a friend and I bought a kia sephia for 500.00 and went down to the pawn shop and got a leaf blower. After a little work we actually got it under the hood and the damn car runs like a bat out of hell.

The claims are total crap. I can't believe that they can get away with this. Based on the 2.2 amps at 12volts, the fan has about .02HP. A supercharger takes 20 or more hp on a small engine. A turbocharger produces similar power, but free from the exhaust. You cant get 50% of the effect with 0.1% of the power. The fan would be lucky to overcome the resistance of the filter, providing no boost but no filter loss. Once again, total crap.

they build these things so cheap that they actually fall apart, and you get pieces of this down your intake mani.
