Okay well I stopped the white noise coming out of my HU with a schoche Line Level Converter and it worked famously. But a new dilemma has arose out of this. I yanked out my LOC for my subs on accident from the speaker wire and I just figgured I'll slap those RCAs right into the RCA outputs on the back of my HU because mine does not have a sub out. Well The subs work but incredibly faint thumps in my trunk right now. So should I just try to hook up the LOC or is there a simpler solution for this. BTW I have the RCAs from my HU leading to my Crossover and then to my amp and then to my subs.

So are you saying the subs are working, but just barely? Sounds like you need to re-tune the inputs on your crossover and amplifier. Possibly the HU isn't putting out as much voltage as your previous connection.

Yea they are working but I left the settings on the amp and xover the same. but I looked up my HU and fount that it isn't a pre-amp out that I have tapped into, just a line out so I guess that may have something to do with it?

Crutchfield.com swore I didn't need one but I'm starting to get tired of the white noise.
If it's just a line-output, chances are it isn't controlled by the volume knob. I'm assuming you control volume for everything from the front of the unit? You may have to reinstall your LOC in this case. I"m betting if that's a line-output, the volume control won't work with it, and you'll have constant sound to your subs even if you have the volume all the way down.

Sorry meistees I'm not sure of the model # all I know is it is a Schoche and I bought it from wal-mart but I have seen some other threads with the model number in them. And Jahntassa you were right, I re-installed the LOC and it works fine, but in case another problem regarding it pops-up I relocated the LOC to the rear of my car and in the front cut the ends off my RCA cables and hooked up up with the speaker outputs and put RCAs on the LOC in the rear so next time I need to mess with it or add speakers in the trunk it's all right there.
