Well I finallt boke down and bought antoher couple of toys.First I got the IPOD cradle and link to run it through my Alpine Deck (sorry the picture is blurry). It sits in a cup holder and the wiring runs under everything to the deck and connects through Alpine's Ai-net.Secondly I got a new amp to power the speakers. It's an Alpine 5 channel theater amp (50W RMS x 5). The cables run under and through the seats kinda like a headrest video screen.Well hope you like...now on to the next mod.

Little more work how? The installer nearly killed me on site when I came to get it. Said he should have charged me double the quote (good for me) and this was his hardest install ever. What do you suggest?

What do you suggest?I'm not dogging you by any means, just from the pic it just looks like you cut a hole in the plastic and mounted it to the back of the seat. It just has that jerry-rigged kind of look to it, like you did it on your own, not appearing to be professionally done. Maybe it's just the pic. It is def a great idea (hope it doesn't heat up too bad or someone in the passenger seat is going to have a warm back! lol), just seems like it could use something else to get rid of that "I chopped up my seat in the driveway" look to it. Kinda like how people were giving you crap about your homemade hood hole way back when!

I don't think it looks all that bad for what it is. I mean, sure, he could've gotten a fiberglass thing to go in instead of just cutting the plastic, but seeing it the way it is would definitely catch someone off guard. I can definitely see how that install would be a HUGE pain in the (removed).

The guy's at Visions were pissed. When they fisrt assesed it they wanted to put a plexiglass case ovaer it and light it with LED's when they crammed it in there they realised there wasn't enough room and the seat bar that runs across had to be removed. Maybe the picture is bad when I look at it up close it's done right. Maybe I'll post another pic. As for heat that was my concern too but my passengers haven't noticed anything. Thanks for your honest opinions I appreciate it. Looks great at night too and the sound is awsome! Well worth the money.PS. My home made hood scoop?? Oh well I always receive compliments on it but your right that razzing was a bit a funny when I posted the pics.

Wait, they removed a structural support from the back of the seat? Isn't that potentially dangerous and life-threatening?

No danger to the passengers. I'm glad tyou were concerned with my passengers safety but to Hopes point I don't allow passengers very often....unless its a blonde or brunette or red head hahaha.

Aaah, okay. I gotcha.Yeah, I don't like sacrificing any sort of safety for installs. But in that case, that works out!

I think it's a great idea! I was also thinking of some plexiglass and neons when I first saw it. Until I read that your installer was planning to do that. I would only suggest maybe adding a bezel or frame around the amp, maybe in plexiglass if you want to light it up w/ l.e.d.'s, or something you can paint to match the seat plastic so it would look almost stock.Looks good though! I would have never thought of that.
