Which Replacement Grill…?

Post by JohnC »

I regularly have to replace the front grills due to them pesky wabbits. Can anyone tell me which aftermarket grill completely replaces the original? Of them which is the strongest?I have a piece of fireplace grill material that I will make into a heavy duty “custom” grill if I have to, but would rather put something in there that looks nice and is functional.

I think Mr. Grille is sturdy enough to take a hit from Mr. Wascally Wabbit.

Hey thanks for the info all. Them jack rabbits are pretty stout, especialy when hit at 75+. It usually knocks the top of the lower grill back into the A/C condensor, so I drilled holes in the bumper cover and ty-wraped them to it, now it breaks the grills or ty-wraps. Guess I will fab one up out of the fireplace grill and run supports up and back to the metal part of the bumper. My luck...I will get this all done then go out and hit a COW!

They wait till your right on them then they jump out at you, sometimes they run into the side of vehicles. It is also free range for cattle and the cow farmers put salt licks next to the road so it will be easier for them to gather them walking steaks up for the meatpackin ride.About a year ago I came up on seven masacred cows in and next to the road. It was a blood and fly fest. Turns out a couple driving thier Dodge pickup hit everyone of them cows. The couple walked away from thier totaled truck and most of the cows were killed instantly.Wouldn't have been a good time to be driving a Vibe.
