hotchkis sway bars

Post by shibaman »

I am getting my front Hotchkis sway bar installed this AM. I did the rear myself. With the rear by itself it really tightened up the handling but you could feel the front end needed that bigger bar. I will let you know how it handles when it is done.

Wow!!!!!! It really tightened up the car. It handles great. Best $ I have spent on a car. The ride is firm but more controlled so it actually is more comforable. The steering is so much better. I am really impressed!!!!! There are 2 settings on the front bar and I set it on the softer of the 2. It is perfect like that. What control!

Thanx Shibaman..... I'm excited that your sway bars have improved your vehicles performance as much as you've said it has... Now hopefully guys won't think I was just blowing smoke and pushing the Hotchkis name.!! You really can feel a huge difference with the products we manufature.. I'm glad your purchase of our product has made you a beleiver... Just think once you add some of our other components to the vehicle... That car will be even more nimble as it is quick... I'll be sure to pass your e-mail to John Hotchkis himself, to show him how our Vibe / Matrix line is starting to turn heads...

Doesn't your front sway bar have built in camber adjustment? Oh wait, maybe I am thinking of the tower brace?

This is the first thing I plan to do with my suspension, so I was wondering...how much did it cost to get the front bar installed? I'm told the back is easy as heck, but the front is just the opposite. Just trying to figure out the total cost.

Yeh - how much did it cost? I've been having so much trouble getting my TRD CAI that I wish I had spent the money on sway bars. First it was backordered, no I learned (fortunately prior to installation) TRD had been sending some Base/XR components with the XRS/GT kit. I prefer to do my own mods, but I've heard enough about the difficulties of the front sway bar (raising the engine!) that I'm scared off.
