Blah! It started a couple years ago when the dealer tore up all of my trim and I made them replace it. When replacing the radio bezel, I ended up losing my backlighting for those two switches, something got messed up. They didn't replace the bulb, but swapped the whole assembly instead. It was good for a while. Now, I'm having problems with the lighting again but it is intermittent now at least. I'll not have any lighting in the switch except for the LED's that indicate when the A/C or recirculate is on. The weird part, if I grab hold of the bottom of the center dash trim and lift up and push it back down, it starts working again. There has to be a loose connection with the bulb or something with the switch, maybe even the harness that when it is jarred, it starts making contact again... Not unlike when my climate control lights went out previously and would come on if you banged on the dash or possibly if you shifted out of park and back into it.Anybody have the GM part number for this bulb? I figure I'll go ahead and replace it... It wouldn't happen to be the same bulb as what the climate controls take, would it? Seeing how I have a couple of those bulbs laying around from where I never put 'em in the old climate control assembly, it would be too perfect if they were the same. All I know so far is that it did look to be in a socket, IIRC. Of course I could always implement GMJAP's LED mod for the switch using red LED's. We'll have to see...
