GUILTY of buying a cheesy steering wheel cover

Post by LavaTroll »

OK, you can laugh. My girlfriend has a red Mustang with a steering wheel cover that I always liked. I was surprised to find out that it's a Wal-Mart special for $6.99!!!! (I had assumed it would cost $20 - but, I know nothing about car parts). It's black with three sections of lusciously thick, soft, almost Lava-red plastic that have superbly comfortable bumps to ensure a good grip. I put it on so that the three evenly spaced red parts are at 10:00, 2:00 and 6:00.I am somewhat mixed as to the looks - I mean, it's a super bright red car with RED gauges and now I have a red/black steering wheel cover, so it could be seen as overkill. But the tactile sensation of that thick, chunky wheel is unbeatable. I feel like the Vibe is more maneuverable than ever.

Hee hee... reading that again, I never said I BOUGHT one. It sounds like I "appropriated" hers for my own selfish purposes.
