Hello/Salut fellow vibe owner of MTL region...3 questions for you: 1st: Do you have any recommandation for a performance shop in the mtl region (i'm from south shore but woulnt mind to go north if highly recommanded). 2e: Any of you have made mods on their vibe while under warranty? I have a 03 GT but engine/transmission still under warranty.. must admit i'm a bit nervous to make a CAI or other mods before the end of the warranty.3e: Did you know that Cosmoracing is base in MTL... Seems like it's possible to get part at a pretty good price .. any of you have heard good/horror story about this compagny and their product? Thanks
Salut Legros! Ca va bien? For the performance shops it depends what you want to do to the car. Check out http://www.montrealracing.com in the links to check out some of the shops.I bought my car brand new in 2003 and have made many mods such as a CAI, lowering springs etc. My service advisor at the dealership told me that those mods don't void the warranty I bought my car at Boisvert Pontiac in Blanville, c'est du monde super en passant! As for Cosmo I have heard good and bad. Ask Miked he bought a CAI from them.Bienvenue and I hope to meet you at one of our car meets.Salut!

That's thru,I bought a short ram thru them and made a local pick-up in Brossard.Saved me the freight and all.The only problem with them is that they are hard to reach.

TWM Performance is in Boucherville. They make the only full short shifter system for the Vibe, lots of other stuff too.http://www.twmperformance.com/ I've had a Cosmo CAI on both my Vibes and they are excellent. They are the only company making a CAI for the '05-'06 Vibe.

I have a 03 GT but engine/transmission still under warranty.. must admit i'm a bit nervous to make a CAI or other mods before the end of the warranty. The warranty will just not apply on the pieces you changed (i.e. air filter if you put a CAI)3e: Did you know that Cosmoracing is base in MTL... Seems like it's possible to get part at a pretty good price .. any of you have heard good/horror story about this compagny and their product?I have it for my Vibe and like it. you save money if you do a local pick up. easy to install, not as easier as the '05 (short ram), but I did it often, cause I remove mine for last winters and pu it back after. I'd be happy to help you out if I'm in the Montreal area when you want to install it.
Hello all, thanks for the input.... For the short shifter i think i'll wait a bit... For now i will try to give a shot to the best HP/cheap $$ ratio. But seems more simple to change than i thought. Must admit that I dont like my transmission and i still have hope to get it fix under waranty (normal that the change from 1st to 2nd is VERY hard to enter in place around 6000-7000rpm?). I can understand that it's not as smooth as 3000rpm but...For the Cosmo CAI... Yeah local pickup was offered and seemed an interesting option for the price. I guess i should buy one or two air filter from them as well in the same time or K&N Filter will do the job? For the installation, well i havbe the mechanical skill of a Penguin on flat earth sooo was thinking to get professional help.. Seemed to be a quite simple talk so i guessed that would cost me too much. But if you guys do a install/uninstall meet i might jump on the occasion.. .thanksBastien

So I'll have to replace it with a new one of better quality.
you don't need to buy two filters. buy one (for myself I still use the Cosmo one) if you want, and the K&N Air filter Cleaner kit. cheaper, and it does the job for less than a new filter. and you can use it as often as you want.
