Does anyone have the bazzoka amp and sub package from Crutchfield?Or just the bazooka? How does it sound? Can u hear it comming down the street? Will an 8in be enough?
I have an 8" Bazooka, the RS8A-HP. I'm not sure if they make this exact model anymore since it is 7 years old, but it was their higher end line of tubes with built in amps. It has a 150 watt RMS amp and it pumps out plenty of bass for me. Can people hear you coming down the road? Maybe slightly if you really have it cranked up, but no, it's no where being close to those that you hear thumping and vibrating the cars apart as the pass by. It provides nice, solid, clean bass while still leaving the trunk very usable. There have been a couple times I've needed my entire trunk to carry things and it's very easy to remove the fuse off the power lead, then pull off 2 connectors from the sub and then the entire unit can be removed from the trunk. Here is a link to my post with pics I made after I installed it: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=18348 It was easy to install and didn't require a single hole to be drilled. I modified the mounts it came with to bolt into the cargo track. I've been really happy with it and it's still working like new 7 years later. Let me know if you have any questions.

Justin:So all u have to do is run the cord from the battery to the sub, then run the turn on lead and RCA cords on the opisite side of the vehicle to the subfrom the head unit? Do u have to adjust it? Is haveing the amp built in better? Was it hard to make the mounting clips to fit on the track?Did u have to buy any types of cords for it or did it come with them?
Hey Josh, Yeah, I ran a power lead under the driver side trim panels to the battery and then on the passenger side I ran left/right speaker wires and a turn on lead to the amp under the passenger seat since I have the moon and tunes package. I just tapped into the wires which made it pretty easy. The built in amp has volume and cross over controls so you can adjust it for your taste/setup. I like having the amp built in because it makes a easier, cleaner install, less wires, don't have to drill holes to mount an amp, and it takes up less trunk space. I can take some pictures of the mounts later to show how easy it was. My Bazooka just came with these small plastic, rounded holders that the straps feed through and you bolt it to your floor. It originally had I think two holes for screwing down. I drilled a hole in the center of each one so I could center the mount on the track. I used two spare tie downs that go in the track for mounting. I took one to Home Depot to find the correct bolt size and then just bought two small bolts that were not too long, so they would fit. I then just bolted the plastic mounts into the backing pieces of the tie downs. It did not include any cables. I bought some wire from Home Depot, 10 gauge or whatever they called for to use for the power lead. I think for the speaker wires I may have used some spare speaker wires I had left over from my Polk speakers. The turn on lead I may have bought when I was at Home Depot as well. I need to take a look at the wiring to recall what I did.
