man that sucks about the canadian tint laws. I though virginia was bad. I would say go with 5% if you want. the only windows you cant tint are the windshield and the drivers and passenger front doors. I would say go with 5% in the rear hatch, 5% on the little rears and maybe 20% on the rear doors, possible lighter to make a transition from light to dark without making your car look unfinished.

I did 35% on the front two and 20% on the rest. 50% is legal in Ohio on the front two windows, but you can do almost anything else on the rest of them... I just wanted to go darker. No tickets for it yet and I've had them tinted for well over 6 months.

I have 50% on the front two and 20% on the others. I was pulled over in October in Stow, OH near Akron for having a tinted license plate cover. The cop said he couldn't read my plate. He gave me a warning for "display plates" While he was talking to me he asked me roll up my front windows because he said my tint on the rear was too dark. He then said, "Yep, those are film too." Then he tried telling me saying that my tint was illegal but he wasn't going to cite me for it, just letting me know. He said something like, "the factory glass already has a tint on it and anytime you put tint on them, it's puts it pass the legal limit." OK.....what is the "solar tinting" on the vibe rated at?? I think it only drops the level about 3% which makes it what.....47%. I told a couple of people at work what they said and they said they were just profiling me. To top it all off, the cops got my race wrong on the written warning slip. I'm hispanic which there is a box to check off on and they marked "other." Guess I have to tell the census bureau that I'm an "other" and not hispanic.

Mine are 25% all around. I live in AR so I could've gone alot darker on the back, but I like the uniform look and I also like to see out the back at night.

I did 15% on the front doors, and 20% on the rest.CO law is 10%, anytihng darker than 20% is a pain at night, had darker on my Saturn and it was a pain in (removed) to drive at night. Ended up doing a lot of driving with my windows down.As for how dark to go, it is the same ticket regardless of how dark (beyond legal) the tint is. So roll with what you know.Aurora = $38.00Co State = $68.00BTW, it is a citation not a ticket. It doesnt hurt your insurance.

I did go with 5% for all the windows that i could tint, including the back doors windows, back glass and the small rear windows. It look real nice specialy that i have black wind deflector on the hood and on all the windows. I will take pics as soon as it stop raining. The next step will be to put my new 17"wheels next week.
