Fabricating an antenna

Post by miked »

Hi All,I'm wonderig if anybody here ever tried to do their own antenna.I'm beginning to think to do my own, but I'm wondering about the wiring. Does the antenna as wired 2 wired. I'm wondering because the wire behind the radio seems to as 2. Is the wire only shielded, that would mean that I would be find with only 1 wire as an antenna?thank you all electronics gourous.Mike

I think it requires a bit of knowledge to wind an antenna, but you might be able to find a guide to it.I'm sure the antenna on the Vibe is fine, and the reason there's two wires is because one is the antenna wire, the other is power for the amplifier built-into it.
