Has anyone replaced their shocks yet?

Post by GoLowDrew »

Shocks are fine. But thinking of lowering it. I know there are no "performance" shocks for Vibe/Matrix. It's not necessary since I'm only planning 1.2 drop. But my shocks got 45K miles, so I might as well replace them. Therefore, my only choice is OEM replacement.Does anyone know how much an OEM shock (for Vibe) should cost? I don't want to get rip off. I have no experience with shock OEM replacement because I always used performance shocks (Tokico, Koni) on my old Civic.

According to this thread on Matrixowners.com the Koni struts from an '03+ Corolla work on our cars. The fronts are inserts so you have to hack your front strut to make them work (like most Konis). I would rather have a full replacement strut but this is the only choice right now...
