Has anyone made their own carbon fiber parts?

Post by northvibe »

I just saw a thread at two places where people covered their parts in carbon fiber. has anyone done that here on the vibe?http://www.newcelica.org/forum...pp=50h ... et...fiber

I wouldn't get either one of those. I have bought a set thru Autoaccessorystore who gets them from MimoUSA and they were crap.Basically they were a sheet of dull finish carbon fiber that a 5 yr. old cut with a dull scissors. They weren't even close to what the picture looked like with the glossy finish and the rolled edges. I was very unhappy with their product.

this summer i think me and a friend are going to order some CF kevlar mold some parts in it. the easiest would be just to skin the parts with CF. I was thinking the side mirrors and some interior parts. I was thinking the gas door but that would look so out of place unless i got like silver CF.
