I'm currently renting. I would like to buy one. Before I go, can you recommend one (maybe the one you have) that will work with Comcast high speed cable internet?TIA
2004 Vibe, Auto Trans. Built Sept 2003. Date in service May 2004. Sold May 2006.
I have Cox high speed internet and have a Linksys modem with a Linksys router. They look alike and are stackable and I have never had any problems with either of them.

my parents have comcast at home, i found the list herehttp://www.comcast.com/Support....htmljust google those model's to get the brand etc. compusa sells comcast so they should have the modems, theres a linksys and another one i know that they sell and best buy should too, but if you order it from newegg.com you prolly get a better deal.
currently comcast give you the modem free of charge. here in NY anyways. i have 1 modem i had with cox in VA. it's a motorola sb42. i bought it seperately as the one cox gave wasn't XP compatible.it's for sale if you want.
Best buy / circuit city usually sell motorola's for Comcast. They work really well.
