I am thinking about hooking one up soon, I am tired of not being able to play mp3's in the ride. I found some InDash DVD combos online for a really low price (under $500 with 5" LCD), good price or what? And how hard do you all think it will be to setup? Has anyone done it yet?
My Vibe... 5% Smoke Tint;Pioneer DEH 7400MP; 2 Rockerdfos. tweet; one 10" woofer Rockerdfos; (updating now to; Volfenhag ZX-7160 800 Watt 4 Channel Amp, VOLFENHAG ZX-4710 10" Aluminum Cone Woofer-800 Watts)
Should install just like a normal deck. Normally you would have to worry about the mounting depth but the Vibes dash is pretty cavernous, that and it has been done before. Five hundred bucks seems a little cheap for this type of combo, just be careful, sometimes you actually get what you pay for! I was looking to get a Pioneer 7300 w/ DVD player builtin but it runs on average $1300 and I just can't crap that out! As far as the MP3 player is concerned, for about $350 you can get a Premier 840MP with dual motorized faceplates and MP3, WAV, and windows media compatability.
