Well the State of Ohio requires a front license plate. I finally received a ticket for not having one. I have been pulled over 5 times and been warned. Each time, I acted like it fell off. This time, I was in Columbus. I was in construction with my cruise on. This Columbus Freeway patrol police car was next to me. I seen him slow down then speed up, he was looking over. Then he slowed down then got behind me. And hit the disco lights. It's a $100 dollar fine. I've had the car 2 and a half years, I just went to 76,000 miles on her. I don't want to put a front plate on either. But, I have the mount and plate in garage. So, I better.

Would it be legal to just zip-tie it to the lower bumper opening? I know that was my plan, but my car is still titled and licensed in Tennessee so I haven't had to do it.
or you can just keep paying tickets like i do with my tint.but i suspect the plate isnt that big a deal.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!

Uhh, I guess you could always put the plate up in the windshield such as what trdvibe does... 'course I'm not liable when the air bag deploys on the passenger's side and makes the plate go flying. I have to say I wish we had a front plate here, actually... That would make it easier to identify fellow motorists who are up to no good, since the rear of the vehicle isn't always visible... Plus, that would have given me far less area for that god awful crappy Toyota paint to chip off of the front bumper to begin with.

That's a whole different story. If they weren't scratches from the rivets on her back pockets - then I'm sorry. My friend got his Avalanch keyed with a screwdriver on both sides... some pretty vulgar stuff too. They had to put black tape over it until getting it painted. Some people... sigh.
The she used the ring I bought her. Luckily it wasn't a engagment ring though. Hey Binary I see you get about 34mpg. I have almost 80,000 on my Matrix. I still get about 34 around town and up to 41 on highway. The worst I ever got was 28 but that was a heavy foot throught the whole tank. I just need to get it tuned with my mods then I think I'll be doing pretty good.

Did you recieve you ticket from Henry Hunt of the Columbus Freeway Patrol? This guy is well known to write bogus tickets like no plate and window tint. I received a ticket for window tint originally He inspected my vehicle and did wrote up a ticket for the lack of a front place, which it did not come with a bracket. He decided to pull me over in a very dangerous interstate location with very high traffic volume with very low shoulder over my vehicle's appearance! Smart move Henry! The state needs to get on the ball to pass the bill which will drop front plates. It's a law enforcement's waste of time just to play fashion police and pull people over and writing tickets when they can take dangerous drivers off the road or handle severe crimes in life or death situations. Not only that, a few people have mentioned damaged bumpers, due to drilling holes. If a bumper is damaged because of the drilling for a bogus feature, does that decrease the resale value of a car? We all know it would! That's part of marketing and its consumer mind and and their purchase behavior. Think of all the sales tax revenues the state is losing because every car in Ohio is damaged because they force all owners to modify their vehicle by drilling holes to stick a piece of tin, only to benefit the officers this law enforcement tool. Pretty sad!Police today say the dish is beneficial to only them so they can use lazers to target the dish. I do not see how that is the case whatsoever. I had an officer in Ohio nail me with a lazer for speeding without the plate and nothing about my bare bumper was even mentioned. Obviously, it does not prove to be more or less effective. As said before, the state is losing money... The annual cost of 1 Million dollars to produce the plate, the loss of sales tax revenues to depreciation due to damaged front bumpers of drilling holes. Leave the front plate off. You're better off taking the risk of getting fined $100, rather losing over $1,000 in value because of damage sustained due to drilling. Not forcing owners to modify vehicles by damaging front bumpers for a front plate is the American way!
