automatic reply funtion?

I love the site, but the auto reply on posted messages sucks. I wish if you typed a msg to automatically send you a notifcation if someone posted in the same topic. now you can only select to email me a reply, but only if you selected. it should be automatically. It would be nice if it was like this...

IMO I would not want a response to every post I have made emailed to me! It does that with IMs on MO, and even that is kind of annoying, especially if you are going back and forth with someone. When you're done you check your email and you have 12 emails letting you know you have an IM response!

for a post (removed) like me email notification of replies would kill my email account. I haven't explored it, but does the "watched topics" stuff help any? In the User options, you can select to automatically add any topic you post in to your watched topics list, then you can check your watched topics and see which of them has been updated recently. Maybe that will help you get what you are looking for.
