Are you tired of the cold weather and snow? It is 42 degrees F. here in SW Michigan. I was feeling upset about the amount of time I am physically cold, driving in snow, and shoveling snow. Just checked the temperature for Barrow, Alaska and it is -16 F, -27 C. It is supposed to reach -21 F., -30 C. tonight. Perhaps I don't have much to complain about after all.
I'm sick of winter. Thinking about going south for a week, but not sure yet. THe snowbank beside our driveway is as tall as my boyfriend (he's 5'11'').

I was sick of winter when it still felt like winter here...right now I'm enjoying the unseasonably warm temperatures we've been having. But I know it won't last. If I had almost 6 feet of snow beside the driveway I think I'd just die...the foot or so we had before Christmas lingered for 2 weeks and just about drove me nuts.
I think our snow is a couple of feet deep, but the snow bank beside the driveway is particularily high because of the constant shovelling of the driveway and the roofers dumping snow off the roof. I can't see the street when I back out of my garage. I just hope for the best! Luckily its just a small residential crescent so there's not much traffic!

Humm, snow blowing vs cutting the grass and the bugs and sun block. What the heck, it doesn't matter to me. Ask me in March. Not much of a winter with the warm weather and the canal sucks this year. But it is easier to work on projects in summer.
I feel the same way. Where's winter? I bought this 4x4 Jeep Cherokee and put new Blizzak snow tires on it and only got one lousy snowstorm that only brought about 5 inches of snow. We get some flurries here, a dusting there, then it goes back to 55°F again. Otherwise, it's just cold some days. The temps keep jumping up and down and making everybody sick. I only really enjoy winter when we have big snowstorms that I get to drive around in. I like how any significant snowfall at all freaks out all the old farts around here. "Oh my God, Matilda, were're getting 2 inches of snow tonight! We're all gonna die!" LOL. They usually drive around aimlessly for no reason at all other than to cause more traffic which gives them yet another thing to complain about.I want another 2-3 foot snowstorm like we had here back in 1993. Then it can all melt in 3 weeks and I'll happily welcome spring. I hate the heat and humidity of summer. I just pour out sweat constantly, have all my clothes stick to me all day long, feel like I can't breathe and want to die. I'll take 70°F and colder any day.

Ask me again in about 6 months when it's 115 degrees F if I was tired of winter. Although I do miss real "winter" weather.(Like back home in South Dakota) When it would actually get cold enough to wear warm clothes and turn the heat on. Our electric bill in the winter averages $50 because we haven't turned the heat on since we moved here 4 years ago.
