I've never had to remove rear speakers out of a car before. Do I need to take the whole panel off? If so, how?! One of my rear OEMs has blown (sounds like crud) and I would like to replace it without taking it to a shop, if possible.Any tips would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!-M
There's 2 screws, one in the handle and one in the grip. Take those out and the door just pops off. If you are going aftermarket you will probably have to drill out the rivets holding it in. If you get a small enough speaker you could possibly use the stock ring and just gut the speaker.

I replaced my speakers with JLB ones from Best Buy as well as putting a pioneer with the ipod attachment the first week i bough my vibe. I watched them do it in the shop. There were a few screws in the door panel and the speakers are not screwed in they are held in by 4 rivets. If you are installing after market speakers you will probly also need a plastic fitting ring. My speaker was smaller then the hole so they had to put this fitter ring on it to be able to screw them into the holes. Good luck!
yawl are lucky, when they changed mine, there was a plastic holder about 2tice the size as the speaker, it was sodered to the speaker, so they had to custom make me something to fit inside my door and around my speaker......
