GT and base exhaust differences?

What (if any) are the differences between the GT and base exhaust systems? Would it be possible to take an aftermarket exhaust that only lists the GT as an application (Greddy, for instance) and fit that to the base? If it's not a straight fit, can anyone tell me what I'd have to do to fit it on?

i think there was a different flange part and maybe a hanger for the piping...... but dont quote me on that.
