Hi everybody,On the last visit to Good Wrench service for Annual service and oil change + tire rotation , on the worksheet the mechanic put in a advice for "brake servicing" to be done at the next service which will be in March 2006. At the time of the annual service the odometer reading was abt 14,800 Km . I was just wondering whether it is normal for this kind of job and whether it is covered under warranty . BTW i still have 1 whole year of coverage left .It ends in Dec. 2006 . I have a 2004 base , just completed 1 year of driving .
If you have 14,800 kms, not sure when the next service interval is, but that is still not many kms to be looking at brake service. It had better not be much more than a quick visual inspection to make sure things are wearing ok, nothing abnormal. I doubt that routine brake service is covered under warranty. Before you pay for it be sure you understand what it is they are going to do, and if they try to sell you new brake pads at only 20,000 kms, be very suspicious
Thanks guys ; i shall keep that in mind ! Btw what would be the ususal charge for Brake Service ?? Can one from Canada who have got it done can help me so that i have a rough estimate .I will surely take it to another service centre if they recommend brake pad change .
