The winner of the January Member of the Month is NSimkins, genvibe administrator. randomly selected from nine candidates, ArcsVibe, BlueCrush, ColonelPanic, drunkenvibe, millster, MIVibe-ToolGuy, NSimkins, Ragingfish, and ZubenElGenubi (IMs sent) All deserve to win, but there can be only one, and I am right well pleased that Nick is recognized for all he does for us.The ballot for Nick that entered him into the running this month was:Quote »It might be easy enough to dismiss a nomination for Nick by saying "Well, it's his job." However, I think he has consistantly gone above and beyond the duties of an administrator of GenVibe to make this site a more enjoyable experience. He has not only provided valuable advice on topics posted here, but has helped ensure that our related activities (such as regional meets) go as successfully as possible. In fact, he donated a couple of GenVibe t-shirts for our SouthCentral rally, even with our minimal turnout. I again nominate, nsimkins for MOTM. Sincerely, ZubenElGenubiIn previous months, Nick also had these nominations:Quote »Nick is an ideal site administrator. He listens and responds to suggestions and criticisms with objectivity. He does not use his status to further personal agendas or to discriminate. He participates as a member and contributes valuable information, whether the topic be site-related or about the Vibe itself. I have always found him polite, helpful, and thoughtful in my queries to him. He has always taken swift action when appropriate or provided additional information for me. He has generously contributed time and, I'm sure, personal expense, to maintain the integrity of GenVibe. I am highly appreciative of his efforts and therefore, nominate Nsimkins as Member of the Month. Quote »I think Nick deserves to be the first MOTM since he is the one that got this site up and running and if it were not for him we would not be a part of such a wonderful group of people. It's hard to list all of the things that Nick does for genvibe, I think the thing I apppreciate the most is that he set the tone of the site to be such a welcoming community of friends. A lot of car forums have good information, but this site has that and much more, and I thank Nick for that. So thanks Nick, and congratulations
Wow! Thanks for the kind words and nominations everyone (ZubenElGenubi, for this month's nomination) and the title, it wasn't expected, but greatly appreciated! I've been a part of GVC for well over 3 years now and I have to say our community is the best online group I have ever been a part of. The members are what makes that possible and I'm glad to say I'm one of the members as well (just because I'm an admin doesn't mean I put myself above anyone else here). To limit my rambling, I wanted to thank joatmon for keeping the MOTM feature up-and-running here and hope to see many more MOTM's in the future. I sure know that there are plenty of other members that should be up in this spot too! Thanks again!-Nick
Congratulations, Nick - you're a fantastic site admin and a great guy all around. Thanks for anything and everything you do for us around here. Keep up the great work!

Here is your first post, back when you were teh noob http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...6#666According to http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...2#672 , you heard about genvibe from the now defunct matrixvibe.net . What's the story behind how you grew from noob to Admin?
Belated Congratulations, Nick! I'm glad to have helped get you recognized, but I think it's obvious from the above posts how much everyone here appreciates what you do to make GenVibe such a wonderful site. (...and thanks to whomever nominated me as well!)
